NORTH GERMAN CONFEDERATION 1868 - 1872
In 1867 the independent States of Northern Germany combined to form the North German Confederation.
The North German Confederation issued their own stamps between 1868 and 1872.
In 1870 Bavaria, Wurttemberg, & Baden joined to form the German Empire (Deutsches Reich).
In 1872, Stamps of the North German Confederation were replaced by those of the German Empire. |
